Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Custom-Printing.us and every order you place with us for custom apparel printing, DTF transfers, 3D printing, and design services.

The short version

  • Custom items are made to order — they generally can’t be returned or refunded once production starts, except for our error or a defect.
  • You own the rights to your artwork. By ordering, you confirm you’re allowed to print it.
  • Approve your details before you order — sizes, colors, files, and spelling — and approve your proof before you pay.
  • Questions first? Reach out anytime.

1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you,” “customer”) and Custom Printing (“we,” “us,” “our”), a custom print shop based in Kirkland, Washington, operating the website Custom-Printing.us (the “Site”). By browsing the Site, placing an order, or uploading artwork, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, and our Refund & Returns Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or place an order.

2. Products & services

We produce made-to-order goods and services including, but not limited to: custom apparel printing (t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, tote bags), DTF (direct-to-film) transfers, 3D printing, and graphic design, CAD design, and print-file preparation services. We also provide an online design studio you can use to create or upload artwork. Product photos, mockups, and previews are representations only; the finished item may vary slightly in placement, color, and finish (see §7).

3. Orders & order acceptance

  • Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is accepted once we confirm it and/or begin production.
  • We may decline or cancel any order — for example, if artwork is unusable, a product is unavailable, pricing was listed in error, or the request violates §5 (Artwork & intellectual property).
  • You are responsible for reviewing your order details before submitting — garment type, size, color, quantity, print location, spelling, and uploaded files. We print what is approved on the order.
  • For most products you approve an on-screen proof before checkout. We produce the proof you approve.
  • We may contact you if artwork or files need clarification. Production begins after order details are confirmed, which can affect turnaround.

4. Pricing & payment

  • Prices are shown on the Site in U.S. dollars and may change at any time. Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout.
  • Payment is processed securely through our payment providers — including PayPal (and Venmo, debit/credit, Google Pay, and Apple Pay via PayPal), Amazon Pay, and Afterpay. We do not store your full card details.
  • Full payment is required before production begins unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing.
  • Coupon or promotional codes are subject to their own terms, can’t be combined unless stated, and have no cash value.

5. Artwork & intellectual property

  • You warrant that you own or are licensed to use all logos, images, text, designs, and other content you submit, and that printing them does not infringe any copyright, trademark, right of publicity, or other right.
  • You grant us a limited license to use, reproduce, and modify your artwork solely to produce, fulfill, and support your order.
  • If you submit a review, rating, or photo, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish and display it on our Site and in our marketing (after approval). You can ask us to remove it at any time.
  • We may decline any artwork we reasonably believe is unlawful, infringing, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.
  • You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from artwork you supply or from your breach of this section.
  • Any designs, mockups, or templates we create remain our property until paid for in full, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Customer-supplied files

For the best results, follow any file-format, resolution, and sizing guidance on the product page. Our on-screen proof shows the resolution and size of each print location for your information, so you can review it before you order. We are not responsible for output quality issues caused by low-resolution, incorrectly sized, or improperly prepared files that you supply and approve. If you’re unsure, our design and file-prep services can help before you order.

For the sharpest print, we recommend:

  • A transparent PNG or a vector file (SVG, AI, or PDF) for logos and text.
  • Artwork at about 300 DPI at the size it will print (roughly 150 DPI is the practical minimum for apparel and DTF).
  • As a rough guide: a full front/back print (~11″) looks best from a file around 3,300 px wide; a left-chest print (~4″) around 1,300 px; a sleeve (~3.7″) around 1,100 px.
These are recommendations, not requirements — you can print at any size, and the proof shows you the resolution for each location so you can decide.

7. Color, print & product variation

Colors on your screen may differ from printed results due to monitor calibration, material, and printing process. Slight variation in print placement, size, and color between items, batches, and product types is normal for custom printing and is not considered a defect. Garment shades and stock may occasionally vary by supplier availability.

8. Turnaround & production times

Estimated production times (for example, DTF next day, apparel 3–5 days, 3D printing 2–4 days) are estimates only and begin after your order details and artwork are confirmed. They do not include shipping transit time. We are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control, including supplier, carrier, weather, or payment-verification delays. If you have a hard deadline, contact us before ordering.

9. Shipping

  • We ship within the United States. Free U.S. shipping is available where shown on the product page; expedited paid options may also be offered at checkout.
  • Risk of loss passes to you once the order is delivered to the carrier. Please provide an accurate, complete shipping address — reshipment for address errors may incur additional cost.
  • Delivery estimates from carriers are not guaranteed.

10. Returns, refunds & cancellations

  • Custom and made-to-order items are non-returnable and non-refundable once production has started, because they are personalized specifically for you.
  • If your order arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect due to our error, contact us promptly (see our Refund & Returns Policy) with photos, and we’ll make it right with a reprint, replacement, or refund at our discretion.
  • Cancellations or changes are only possible before production begins. Once we’ve started, the order can’t be canceled.
  • Our Refund & Returns Policy is incorporated into these Terms; where it conflicts with this section, the Refund & Returns Policy controls for refund matters.

11. Care & warranty

Follow the wash-and-care guidance provided for apparel to protect your print. We warrant our workmanship against manufacturing defects for a reasonable period after delivery. This warranty does not cover normal wear, improper care, misuse, or damage after delivery.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost opportunity. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction. We encourage you to contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly and directly.
